Eight exam-prep courses in the library, ordered as a ladder from the Associate level to Architect to Developer, with hours and what each adds.
The library holds a cluster of courses written around Claude certification exams. They fall into three levels, Associate, Architect and Developer, and together they add up to about 29 hours. This guide orders them as a ladder and says what each rung adds. It describes the courses, not the exams themselves: for the real exam format and requirements, use the official sources.
Rung one: Associate (about 11 hours)
The Associate courses are the entry point and all of them are aimed at beginners. Three are worth knowing, and they differ in style, so you do not need all three.
Claude Certified Associate Foundations (CCAO-F) Exam Prep runs about 3 hours in 24 lessons, and 14 of them are hands-on labs. It covers Claude basics and prompting, then uses Cowork connectors, a Canva plugin and custom Skills, and closes on responsible AI.
The Ultimate Claude Certified Associate Cert. Training is the longest at about 4.2 hours and 61 lessons. It explains how the exam works and includes a practice exam, which makes it the one to take when you want to rehearse the test itself.
Claude Certified Associate Foundations Build & Pass CCAO-F takes about 3.9 hours in 35 lessons and teaches through a single case study, a consultancy called Meridian Partners.
A reasonable pick: start with the lab-heavy course to get hands-on, then add the practice-exam course just before sitting the exam.
Rung two: Architect (about 14 hours)
The Architect courses move from using Claude to designing solutions with it. Three of them target the same foundations exam, so again you can choose one.
Claude Certified Architect Foundations (CCA-F) Exam Prep is the shortest, at about 1.9 hours and 31 lessons. CCA-F Claude Certified Architect – Complete Exam Preparation takes about 3.6 hours in 42 lessons and builds a project called ShopAssist AI along the way. Claude Certified Architect Foundations Complete Preparation is the most thorough at about 5.5 hours in 44 lessons.
Above those sits Claude Certified Architect Professional (CCAR-P) Fast Track, about 3.3 hours in 27 lessons across seven domains. It is the natural next step after a foundations course.
Rung three: Developer (about 3.6 hours)
Claude Certified Developer (CCDV-F) Fast-Track Review 2026 is a review course of about 3.6 hours in 29 lessons, organised by eight domains. It reads as a revision pass, so it suits someone who has already worked through the earlier material and wants to find the gaps.
How the ladder fits together
- Associate first, because it fixes the vocabulary: prompting, model choice, projects, responsible use.
- Architect second, because these courses are framed around designing solutions rather than only using the product.
- Developer last, because a review course is most useful after the first two rungs.
Taking the shortest course at each rung is about 8.5 hours (3.0 + 1.9 + 3.6). Taking every course is the 29-hour figure, and courses aimed at the same exam are likely to repeat each other, so the full set is worth it mainly if you want several explanations of the same material. Writing good prompts (Prompt Engineering) is the skill the Associate courses build first, which makes them a sensible place to start.
